Teacher Training Workshops

Yoga Centers offers two ways to develop your skills as a yoga teacher:

1. Teacher Training Workshops, and
2. The College of Purna Yoga Asana or Meditation Teacher Programs (Yoga Alliance Approved training)

For established teachers, looking to develop and deepen their skills, Aadil Palkhivala and Mirra--who are expanding the flame of Purna Yoga, and are the directors of the College of Purna Yoga teacher training programs, and the owners of Yoga Centers--offer the following teacher training workshops. 

For those who are new to yoga teaching, or need to increase their level of certification, the College of Purna Yoga, offers Yoga Alliance Registered teacher training programs at the 200-hour, 500-hour Levels, as well as our own Purna Yoga Certificate Level.  Information on these programs is found at:

10-Day Therapeutic Teacher Training

This course is offered each year, and is taught by Aadil, Mirra, and Certified Purna Yoga Instructors

Ongoing Teacher Training Class (OTTC) - In Person

6-8 Wednesdays a year, 1:00-4:00 pm

Continuing education is vital for yoga teachers to ensure their skills and knowledge remain sharp and current.  This class is taught by Aadil in a workshop format and provides exceptional continuing education focusing on alignment, therapeutics, nutrition, meditation, anatomy, yogic living, and of course, asana!

Each class covers several different topics, for teachers, teachers-in-training, or serious students. Partiicpation includes discussion, lecture, deomnstrations, case studies, and lots of opportunities to have your questions answered by a master teacher-traininer.
