Purna Yoga Teacher Training Workshops
Yoga Centers is happy to present these special teacher training workshops, taught by Aadil Palkhivala, Mirra, and selected Senior Certified Purna Yoga Instructors. These courses offer the rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the four aspects of Purna Yoga—asana and yogic breathing, meditation, applied philosophy, and nutrition and lifestyle—while learning how to integrate these aspects into your yoga teaching, helping your and your students to grow.
For those who are not able to enroll in the yoga teacher training courses offered by the College of Purna Yoga, these short intensives workshops are the next best thing. (Note: These courses to not qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance. Only Registered Yoga Schools, such as the College of Purna Yoga 200-hour or 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs can provide course certifications for Yoga Alliance registration.)

How to Register
A non-refundable $100 deposit secures your place in the course. In order to receive the early bird discount, the deposit must be received with in two months of the start of the course.

The balance of the workshop cost is due one month before the start of the course, payable by phone with a credit card, by mail with a check, or in person.
Courses fill early, so students are encouraged to register as soon as they can. Six weeks prior to the start of the training, a confirmation packet will be sent by email to each participant.

The Purna Yoga Teaching Training is a deep study and practice of the foundational work of teaching yoga. The curriculum focuses on learning how to teach asana and pranayama, including alignment, adjustments, presentation, prop use, basic therapeutic applications, and how asana relates to one’s daily life. You will learn how to teach the basics of standing poses, inversions, twists, backbends, front bends, the Opening Series, Morning Series, Hip Opening Series, Classical Surya Namaskar, and the basics of Ujjayi pranayama. The course also includes instruction in Purna Yoga Meditation, musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology, and nutrition. As in all Purna Yoga classes, the course teaches how Purna Yoga is to be lived and gives you a deeper understanding of how to integrate meditation, yogic philosophy, and nutrition into your yoga classes and your life. While the course focuses on how to teach yoga, the work itself inspires personal growth and inner wisdom. This training is for you if you want to deepen your current yoga teaching skills, or if you intend to teach some day and want to develop your knowledge and skills. This course consists of lecture, demonstration, and lots of hands-on practice. The cost includes Aadil's coveted manual, "Teaching Purna Yoga."
Prerequisite: One year of alignment-based yoga.

Intermediate Teacher Training

This workshop is deeply rewarding for students or teachers at a higher level of practice. The morning sessions will focus on your own yoga practice, which serves as the inspiration for your teaching.
You will expand your knowledge of the asanas, pranayama, yoga philosophy and meditation, and enhance and deepen your personal relationship to your yoga, integrating yoga at a very deep level into your daily life. The afternoon sessions will delve into the finer points of teaching the asanas, yogic breathing and how to incorporate philosophy, lifestyle and nutrition into your classes. The course will also cover intermediate prop use and asana adjustments, therapeutic applications, ethics, class management and vocal delivery, as well as mantras and Purna Yoga meditation. The cost includes Aadil's revised "Intermediate Teacher Training Manual," which incorporates over
35 years of experience and wisdom.
Prerequisite: A minimum of 3 years alignment-based asana. A Purna Yoga Teacher Training is also highly recommended.
