Purna Yoga Meditation - a journey
into the heart
How Do I Begin?
About Mirra
Purna Yoga Meditation:
Welcome Home!
Purna Yoga Meditation is
different from other meditations. This meditation uses
various techniques that help you enter into your heart center to
connect with light and love. It differs from other meditations in
that there is not an initial attempt to quiet the mind. Instead,
the mind’s gifts of concentration and imagination are used to focus on
the light in the heart center, the home of the spirit in your
body. Once the heart center starts to open and your
connection to your spirit becomes stronger, your body and your life
begin to heal and return to wholeness. This is a process that
unfolds as you deepen your meditation practice.
Welcome to the inner journey to your True Self, to your Essence.
Concentrate in the heart. Enter into
it; go within and deep and far, as far as you can. Gather all the
strings of your consciousness that are spread abroad, roll them up and
take a plunge and sink down. A fire is burning there in the deep
quietude of the heart. It is the Divinity in you – your true
being. Hear its voice, follow its dictates.
- The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Meditation with Mirra 10 Hour Workshop
- Once or twice a year (in March &/or October)
- 10 hour
- Workshop Description:
Do you need H.E.L.P.?
Do you feel overly stressed?
Do you feel constantly frustrated?
Do you have a need for inner guidance?
Do you want more peace and inner quiet?
Do you desire a deeper bond with yourself?
Do you want a new and deeper perspective on life?
Do you want a healing of your past anger and tears?
Do you feel a need to love yourself and others more deeply?
The heart chakra is the key to all of life. Without it, we feel
lost, alone
and unsettled whatever we do. With the heart’s presence guiding our
life, we feel strong, balanced and fulfilled.
The heart chakra is the master center of your body, the doorway to your
soul. The pillar of light runs through all the chakras and to the
Divine light above. The heart chakra connects you to this magnificent
light pillar – who you truly are. This is the self-H.E.L.P. that
Mirra
offers – Heart Entering the Light Pillar.
Mirra will cover the foundations of Purna Yoga Meditation, including:
explanations about the importance of the heart chakra, opening the
heart chakra, understanding the Pillar of Light, the evolution of
humanity, Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy, and simple, daily meditation
snacks to reclaim your health and bring peace and love into your
life.
Mirra invokes a divine healing presence during class, which receptive
students will be able to use for their own upliftment and
healing.
Mirra will be doing intense prayer work on all her students throughout
the weeks, often working late into the night. Come prepared with
a
deep aspiration to change so that you can move from your past into your
present and thereby prepare for your future.
“I have discovered that meditation is extremely logical and practical:
-- instead of taking me away from life, it has taught me how to truly
live it.” Mirra
**This class is a prerequisite to apply for admission to Mirra's

About Mirra
Mirra is co-director of Yoga Centers, in Bellevue, Washington and The
College of Purna Yoga, with her husband, Aadil.
She teaches Purna Yoga Meditation, a profound meditation based on her
inner contact with great masters, using simple techniques applicable in
day-to-day life.
Purna Yoga Meditation is a practical approach to meditation based on
going into the heart chakra and connecting with the pillar of light,
which is the soul in the physical body. Mirra has practiced
meditation for over 20 years, sometimes for 18 hours a day. Her
techniques have helped her through many life-threatening illnesses, and
three death experiences. Mirra is the author of Meditation Snacks
and Meditation Meals and has taught Purna Yoga Meditation for over 14
years.
Mirra teaches ongoing classes at Yoga Centers, and has taught workshops
throughout the U.S., in Europe, Mexico, and India. Her classes
focus on the heart center and emphasize active meditation as a way of
life, something one is, rather than something one does.
Mirra was voted as the most influential spiritual teacher in the
Northwest by the readers of Evergreen Monthly. Her teachings are
an integral part of Purna Yoga. Her charming daughter,
Zenia, is now fourteen-years-old.
